Itinerary
Your day begins early with pickup from your hotel in Cusco, starting a scenic route that takes you to the first key point: the Pisac Archaeological Site. Famous for its vast, crescent-shaped agricultural terraces and its pre-Columbian cemetery, you explore this Inca complex that dominates the valley from above. Next, we descend to the picturesque town of Pisac, known for its artisan market, where you can observe and purchase local crafts, including silverwork and textiles. This first stage offers a deep insight into Inca architecture and worldview, as well as the opportunity to enjoy the first and most impressive views of the valley. The route continues along the valley, stopping in its heart, Urubamba, where we enjoy a delicious and complete buffet lunch. This break is ideal for sampling exquisite Peruvian cuisine and recharging energy. In the afternoon, the historical adventure takes us to the imposing Ollantaytambo Fortress, one of the few Inca towns that still retains its original design and a military fortress that marked the Inca resistance. After exploring its megalithic temples and agricultural platforms, we begin the return journey to Cusco. Our last stop is the traditional town of Chinchero, known as the “Land of the Rainbow,” famous for its textile legacy and its archaeological center built atop Inca foundations. Here, we observe a fascinating weaving demonstration using ancestral techniques with natural dyes. The day concludes with the return to Cusco city at sunset, dropping you off near the Plaza de Armas or at your hotel.
